GayNell Norman Choplin

GayNell Norman Choplin, 75, passed away peacefully at home on Monday March 14, 2022. She was born February 14, 1947 in Yadkin County to the late J. B. Norman and Edith Hunt Norman. She was a member of Forbush Friends Church. Mrs. Choplin loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother George Norman; sister Darlene Blalock. Surviving are her husband Johnny Choplin; children Paul Choplin, Jenny Choplin; grandchildren Paige (Curtis) Carmack; Faith (Dakota) Keaton; Sydnee (Gunnar) Choplin, Garrett (Chloe) Choplin; sister Carol (Dave) Rockett, LuRae (Larry) Doub; brother James (Veda) Norman. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday March 17, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. Her Funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday March 18, 2022 at Forbush Friends Church by Rev. Mitchell See and Rev. Curtis Carmack. She will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at the Novant Cancer Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Choplin. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Forbush Friends Church Cemetery 4460 Forbush Rd, East Bend, NC 27018. Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend is serving the Choplin family.
