Geoffrey Isaac Mace, aged 28, unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord on Thursday April 30, 2026.
A loving and devoted son, brother, husband and mentor, Geoffrey touched countless lives with his faith and compassion. He served as the Youth and Children’s Pastor at Arlington First Baptist Church in Jonesville NC. He was also a baseball umpire with the Northwest Association and a substitute teacher for Yadkin County Schools.
Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on August 13, 1997, Geoffrey completed High School at Central Academy of Technology and Arts in Monroe NC. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Anderson University and his Masters from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Geoffrey met the love of his life, Heather, while working at South Mountain Baptist Camp. They started dating in 2021, and they married on December 26, 2022.
Besides the love for family and friends, he enjoyed the Tennessee Vols, the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox, country music, and spending time with those he cared about. He was passionate about sharing his faith with others and would go out of his way to meet any need that a family member or friend had. His infectious smile and laughter would often fill a room, and his caring heart touched many lives.
Geoffrey is survived by his wife, Heather Mace, his parents, Teresa and Donald Mace, a brother, Jeremy Mace, a sister, Olivia Mace, his parents in love, Cindy and Paul Weaklend, two grandmothers, Christine King and Sharon Mace and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at Arlington First Baptist Church in Jonesville, NC on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2 pm with a graveside service to follow. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the celebration of life at the church.
Geoffrey’s legacy is one of faith in action - a life lived for others, marked by generosity, courage, kindness, companionship and joy. His voice, laughter, and unwavering faith will live on in all who knew him.
