Gladys Carolyn Martin Brown

Mrs. Gladys Martin Brown, 82, passed away on January 2, 2024. She was born on September 19, 1941 in Iredell County to George Preston Martin and Lossie Olo Shore Martin. Gladys had a love for many things. This included, music, word finds, talking on the phone, Elvis Presley, and traveling with her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Donnie Henderson; her second husband, Ralph Brown; a sister, Judy (Earnie) Boyles; and a brother, John David Martin. She is survived by her sisters, Linda Gentry and June Boger; a special niece and nephew, Tanya Gentry and Robert (Teresa) Gentry; sister-in-law, Linda Martin; and several other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Preacher Howard Wagoner officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. The burial will follow at Sandy Springs Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the first responders of Iredell County for their care over Gladys.
