Glenda B. Shore

Mrs. Glenda B. Shore, 84, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026. She was born June 13, 1942 to Woodrow and Iva Barnette. Glenda worked as a certified nursing assistant for many years and truly enjoyed helping others. She spent a lot of her time watching birds and doing arts and crafts. Glenda loved the outdoors and loved to go fishing. Most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild more than anything. Her family was her life and brought her great joy. Glenda will be missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Reggie Bowman (Anthony Parrish), Torria Minton (Bill Garber), and Rodney Bowman; grandchildren, Brittany Wagoner (Tyler Wagoner) and Victor Shore; granddaughter-in-law, Katrina Minton; great-grandchild, Alexandria Minton; brother, Ronnie Barnette (Linda Barnette); sister, Carolyn Novak; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Bryan Shane Minton; brother, Jerry Barnette; and son-in-law, Marty Lee Minton.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Michael Barnette officiating. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Hugh Chatham Health and High Point Medical Center for their care and compassion given to Mrs. Shore.
