CAMPBELL

YADKINVILLE – Mrs. Grace Ann Moxley Campbell, 89, of Hinshaw Road, passed away peacefully Friday, September 18, 2026, at the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin.

She was born November 11, 1936, in Yadkin County to the late Kim and Dorothy Brown Moxley. Mrs. Campbell worked for several years with the Yadkin County Tax Office, where she enjoyed serving the people of her community. She was also a faithful member of North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life. Over the years, she willingly served her church on various committees and especially enjoyed her work with the Food Committee.

Above all, Mrs. Campbell’s greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around caring for those she loved. She treasured time spent with her family and was always ready to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there whenever someone needed her. Her loving and giving spirit was evident in the way she cared for her husband and family throughout the years. The home and family she so faithfully nurtured will remain a lasting reflection of her love and devotion.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Thomas “Byron” Campbell; her brothers, Ronnie Moxley and Tommy Moxley; her sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Ricky Casstevens; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including her sister-in-law, Janice Moxley.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Danny Thomas (Terry) Campbell; her daughter, Kimberly Ann (Billy) Campbell-Tolbert; her grandchildren, Tyler Samuel Angell, Julia (Garrett) Campbell-Moxley, and Meghan (Garrett) Hutchens; her step-grandson, Ethan (Tara) Tolbert; her great-grandchildren, Lincoln Reid Moxley and Campbell Grace Hutchens; her step-great-granddaughter, Aeve Tolbert; her sisters, Frances (Ken) Mabe and Janice Brown; her brother, Bobby Moxley; her sisters-in-law, Frankie Moxley and Shirley Campbell; and several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Monday at North Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM in the church with Rev. Phillip Link officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Atrium Health, including the 7th Floor Ardmore Tower, ICU, and New Care Tower, as well as the staff of SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, for the kindness, compassion, and loving care shown to Mrs. Campbell and her family.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055, or to North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, 2504 North Oak Ridge Church Road, Boonville, NC, 27011.
