Gracie Leigh Taylor Hardy

Gracie Leigh Taylor Hardy, 88, passed away Sunday May 29, 2022. She was born November 10, 1933 in Yadkin County to the late Garlie Everette Taylor and Amanda Ross Taylor. She was a member of East Bend Baptist Church. Mrs. Hardy enjoyed reading books, farm life, flowers and picnics in the Mountains. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jesse James Hardy; son Jesse Dean Hardy; several siblings. Surviving are her children Vance Hardy, Darlene Johnson, Teresa (Robert) Welborn; grandchildren Melanie (Jared) Sizemore, Thomas (Emily Murphy) Paschal, Jesse Johnson, Tiffany Leigh Hardy (Joe Hanson); great grandchildren Reagan Sizemore, Evelyn Murphy, Harley Davidson Reynolds, Allie Reynolds, Gracie Reynolds, Wesley Hicks; sister Faye Walker. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday May 31, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Allen Boggs. Burial will follow at New Home United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at Woltz Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mrs. Hardy. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Hardy family.
