YADKINVILLE - Mrs. Helen Lee Stewart Adkins, 80, of Country Club Road passed away peacefully Monday December 22, 2025 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born May 29, 1945 in Iredell County to the late Harley and Katherine Frances Lowman Stewart. Mrs. Adkins retired from Unifi, was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and enjoyed taking care of her cats and planting her flowers. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and friend. She loved her family with all of her heart and she made sure that each of them knew and felt her love. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her great-grandchild, Randall; her sisters, Linda Cave, Cathy Stewart; and brothers, Pete Stewart, Jim Stewart. Surviving are her husband whom she has been with for 54 years, Glendan Dale “Spike” Adkins; her daughters, Cindy (Keith) White, Lisa Stultz, Kay Hardison, Angela Whitaker, Gerry Campbell; grandchildren, Michelle, Mitchell, Erica, Bradley, Brandon, Samantha, Bobbie; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Maria, Nicholas, Bryson, Eli, Justin, Makenzie, Rosie, Thad, Henry, Allie, Ellie, Bella, Zoey; great-great-grandchild, Gabriel; her brother, Bill Stewart; special friend, Laura Hutchens; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10AM -12 PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral Service will follow the visitation at 12 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Gene Casstevens. Interment will follow in the Maranatha Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to express their gratitude to her sisters-in-law, Karen and Norma, Mountain Valley Hospice, and all the friends that helped with taking care of Mrs. Adkins.
