Mr. Hunter Wayne Gilmore, 19, passed away unexpectedly Friday, July 17, 2026. Hunter was born July 24, 2006 in Surry County to Clint Daniel Gilmore and Rebecca Michelle Carter Gilmore. Hunter was a loving son, brother, grandson, and friend to all that knew him. He was a country boy at heart. Hunter loved fishing, riding 4 wheelers, and working on cars. He also enjoyed target shooting, riding horses, and swimming at the river. Mr. Gilmore was preceded in death by his grandmother Nancy Gilmore; aunt April Dawn Gilmore. Mr. Gilmore is survived by his parents Clint (Traci) Gilmore and Rebecca Carter Gilmore; sisters, Grace Jean Gilmore, Kileyann Sheets, Paigelyn Colvin; brothers, Colton Daniel (Shannon) Gilmore, Dalton Alexander Gilmore, Chase (Haley) Colvin, Paxton Livadaras; grandfather, Gene Gilmore; grandfather and grandmother, Allan and Wanda McDaniel; uncles and aunts, Darrell Gilmore, Dawn McDaniel, Kristian McDaniel (Dee Gray), Jon McDaniel, Joshua (Judi) McDaniel. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:30 PM at Boonville Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Gilmore family.
