Irene Clemie Cockerham

Mrs. Irene Clemie Barber Cockerham, age 91, passed away on August 3, 2022. Irene was born in Yadkin County on December 16, 1930 to the late Ernest and Norma Snow Barber.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Cockerham; son, Randal Joe Cockerham; brother, Junior Barber. 

Irene enjoyed working in her flower gardens and collecting dolls. Survivors include her daughter, Janice (Dan) Christopherson; grandchildren, Michaela Cockerham, Josh Cockerham (Krista), Jody (Stephanie) Christopherson; great-grandchildren, Hunter Christopherson, Ryker James, Layla Mae; sister, Pauline Barber.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 11 AM at Swaims Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ronnie Wooten. Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Cockerham family.
