NORTH WILKESBORO-  Mr. James Randy Call, 60, of Speedway Road passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  He was born May 23, 1962 in Sampson County to the late B.A. and Agnes King Call, but was raised in Greensboro by his aunt, the late Evelyn Call Overman.  Mr. Call loved working for 18 years with Junior Johnson and Associates Racing Team, and for the past several years with Carl Rose and Son Paving.  He was a faithful member and was ordained a Deacon at Dennyville Baptist Church in Ronda.  Mr. Call was a friend to all, well loved in the community, and especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family especially when going on various trips to the beach.  Mr. Call was also preceded in death by his brother, Gary Overman and by his father-in-law, J.E. Gardner.  Surviving are his beloved wife of 39 years, Vickie Gardner Call, of the home; his loving children, Erica Call (Ross) Johnson, of Wilkesboro and their children, Hawkins, Riggins, and Collins; Ryan (Lauren) Call of Georgetown, SC and their children, Nora and Bransom; Kelsey Call of the home; his sister, Lois Call (Ricky) Sumner; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Dennyville Baptist Church.  His funeral service will follow the visitation at 4 PM in the church by Rev.
