James "Jim" Glenn Stimpson

James “Jim” Glenn Stimpson, 80, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026. He was born February 18, 1946 in Surry County to the late Glenn Stimpson and Anne Ray Baker Stimpson.

He moved to Yadkinville in 1971 and considered this to be his real home. Through the years of living in Yadkin County, he had met many loving and caring people.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy; brother, Tommy; sister-in-law, Margie; and a nephew, Todd. He was survived by his adopted family, the Roe family; and several other friends.

A private service will be held at a later date. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Stimpson family.
