Yadkinville
James Robert Renegar, 86, of Yadkinville, died Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was born in Yadkin County on April 4, 1936 to Charles and Imogene Trivette Renegar. He was a member of Marler Road Baptist Church. Mr. Renegar loved farming and going on wagon trains with his wagons and mules. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gracie Vetral Swaim Renegar; sisters, Epsie Renegar, Martha Melton, and Alice Dobbins; and several half brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his children, Darlene Renegar (Dean) Allgood, Darrell Renegar, and Elaine Renegar (Avery) Salmons; grandchildren, Crystal (Billy) Brooks, Jennifer Allgood, Daniel Allgood and girlfriend Katie, Casey Jo (Jason) Jordan, David Lee (Kasey) Renegar, and Jason (Meagan) Mullis; and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral service will be conducted Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2:30PM at Marler Road Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 2:00PM-2:30PM prior to the funeral service at the church and other times at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would like to especially thank the nursing staff at Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Care Center for their loving care for James.
