James "Sonny" Patton

Mr. James “Sonny” Patton, 77, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022. He was born in Forsyth County on June 10, 1945. Sonny enjoyed many things in life including racing, farming, tractor pulls, hunting, and fishing. Everyone who had the privilege to know him will miss him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Pearl Needham. Sonny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Micki Patton of Boonville; children, Randy (Melissa) Pfaff of Walnut Cove, Amanda Johnson of Huntsville, AL, Christopher Patton of East Bend, and Elizabeth Patton of Verona, Italy; grandchildren, Charlie (Mary) Johnson, Tristan Williams, Kylie Bledsoe, Jenna (Zack) Southern, and Tyler Stevens; great-grandchild, River Southern; brother, Ray (Dona) Patton; sisters, Ronda Needham and Joann Long; and special friend, Joe Reece. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
