Jane Sutphin Mundy

Yadkinville – Jane Sutphin Mundy, 77, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, January 31, 2023.  She was born March 8, 1945 in Yadkin County to the late Willie Sutphin and Violet Dalton Sutphin.  Jane was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church, was active in food pantry and taught Sunday School for years.  She enjoyed traveling, gardening, loved her church family, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  Jane retired from Yveddi in Boonville.  She spent her life giving to others and taking care of everyone.  To know her was to Love her.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hutchens; nephew, Mike Hutchens.  Surviving is her husband of almost 60 years, Billy Mundy; daughters, Angel Saggus, Christi (Anthony) Whitaker; grandchildren, Payton Foster, and Caleb (Alexis) Foster.  Her funeral will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Scott Welch and Dr. Allen Barker.  Burial will follow at Courtney Baptist Church.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Mundy family.  Online condolence can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
