Janet Lynn Weavil Dickens

Mrs. Janet Lynn Weavil Dickens, 63, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025. She was born on December 15, 1962 in Forsyth County to the late Henry Ray Weavil and Janice Carolyn Reid. Janet grew up watching racing and loved going camping and kayaking with her sister. She also enjoyed riding on the boat and riding four-wheelers. She was a 1981 graduate of East Forsyth High School. Janet was a long-time employee at UNIFI where she loved her job and her work family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Foy Dickens; her son, Travis Foy Dickens; and her brother, Charles Weavil. Janet is survived by her sons, Cody Phillip Dickens and Foy Henry Dickens; grandchildren, Micheal Foy Dickens, Noah Foy Dickens, Sarah Elizabeth Wrenn Miller, Abigail Marie Dickens, Chloe Sue Dickens, and Kaden Michael Dickens; siblings, Carey Weavil Blanks and James S. Weavil; and her fur babies, Brutus, Angus, and Outlaw.

A Visitation for Janet will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.

The family would like to thank the staff of Novant Health Palliative Care for their love and care over Janet. They would also like to specially thank Mark Berry for his loyal friendship and supervisorship.
