Janice Shelton Smith

Mocksville - Ms. Janice Shelton Smith, 71, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024. Ms. Smith was born May 17, 1953 in Yadkin County to John Hugh Shelton and Jessie Ruth Allen Boger. She was a member of Courtney Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, collecting knick-knacks, and caring for her cats. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Ruth Allen Boger; father, John Hugh Shelton; a sister, Christine Dobbins; a son, Michael Myers; and a grandson, Anthony McClannon. She is survived by a daughter, Gina (Michael) McAllister; a son, Terry (Tammy) McClannon; grandchildren Andrew McAllister, Kiersten and Jonathan McClannon; brother-in-law, Wayne Dobbins; niece Jennifer (Jesse) Burton; niece Tina (Bobby) Lee; and great nieces and nephews Lauren (Abel) Seats, Kalyn Burton, Brandon (Mackenzie) Lee & Bryson (Aleasia) Lee.

A private graveside service will be conducted at Courtney Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Courtney Baptist Church, 3341 Courtney Church Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
