Jay Wilson Groce

Jonesville – Jay Wilson Groce, 86, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023.  He was born September 16, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Jay Groce and Fannie Vestal Groce.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Wilmoth, Avis Steelman; brother, Bob Groce.  Surviving are his wife, Irene Carter Groce; children, Michael Groce, Teresa (Brett) Carey; grandchildren, Trey Moravek, Victoria Moravek, Carter Moravek; sisters, Mary (Tommy) Shore, Delaney Cline; brother, Ronnie (Ann) Groce.  His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 21, 2023 at Marler Road Baptist Church by the Rev. Randy Johnson.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Thursday at Marler Road Baptist Church.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Groce family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
