Jeffrey Leonard Hodges

East Bend Mr. Jeffrey Leonard Hodges, Sr., 61, passed away Friday, September 13, 2019 at SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin. Mr. Hodges was born July 4, 1958 in Guilford County to the late Charlie and Betty Williams Hodges. He enjoyed working with electronics, traveling, sports, and animals. Mr. Hodges worked as an IT Specialist for Lowes Hardware Corp. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hodges was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Larry Gillenwater; sisters-in-law, Linda Gillenwater and Debbie Hodges and his K-9 companions, Claire, Big Angel, Sammy, Huckleberry, Little Angel, Bach, Jim, D’Ogee, Coco, Roxy, Jinky, Rusty, Mandy, Benny, & Zach. Mr. Hodges is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diana Gillenwater Hodges; a son, Jeffrey L. Hodges, Jr. & girlfriend Candice Chacon; mother-in-law, Liliane Gillenwater; two brothers, Randy (Janice) Hodges and Michael Anthony Hodges; sisters-in-law, Stella and Shanna Gillenwater; brothers-in-law, Larry (Cathy) Gillenwater, Jr.. Shane (Penny) Gillenwater, and Luke (Laura Lee) Gillenwater; nieces and nephews, Stephanie, Heather, Adrian and Jason Hodges; several other special nieces and nephews; and his K-9 companions, Gracie and Tucker. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM, prior to the graveside at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin 243 N. Lee Ave. Yadkinville, NC 27055 or to Yadkin Humane Society PO Box 1652 Yadkinville, NC 27055.
