Jerry Hicks

Mr. Jerry Hicks, 75, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025. He was born on March 16, 1950 in Watauga County to the late William Waldo Hicks and Mae Tester Hicks. Jerry enjoyed being outside and working in the yard, trimming bushes. He also loved to travel.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Rhoten; and a brother, Bud Hicks. He is survived by his wife, Gaye Vernon Hicks; his children, Jerry “Lee” (Kelly) Hicks, Johnny (Robyn) Hicks; grandchildren, Shane (Amber) Hicks, Tyler Hicks (Adreana), Kendal Read, Alyssa Hicks (Logan) Styers, Zach Hicks; great grandchildren, Kimber Styers, Holden Hicks; and a brother, Mike Hicks.

The family would like to specifically thank Liberty Hospice. They would also like to extend their thank you to New Horizons, especially, Chuck Thomas.
