Mrs. Jerry Ann Wooten Glass Underwood, (82) of Longtown Road, Yadkinville, passed away on July 24th 2026. She was born December 18, 1943, in Yadkin County, Jerry Ann was the only daughter and the first born of the late Roy Franklin Wooten and Martha Jane Brown Wooten of Center Road, Boonville. Jerry Ann dedicated many years of service to Hanes Hosiery. She began her career at the Winston-Salem plant before transferring to the Yadkinville facility, where she later retired. She was a faithful member of Marler Road Baptist Church in Hamptonville and cherished the love and fellowship of her church family. She was also an active member of the Lamplighters Camping Club in Sparta for many years, enjoying the friendships and memories made through the organization.

 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Randy Franklin Glass; her husband, Dwight Myers Underwood; and her brother, Frank Wooten. She leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, including her brothers, Roger (Sharron) Wooten of State Road and Ronnie (Jeanie) Wooten of Boonville; her daughters, Cindy (Jason) Johnson and Kim (Ronald) Shore, both of Yadkinville; her grandchildren, Grant Johnson (Crystal) of Winston-Salem, Katie (John David) Kent of Hamptonville, Ryan (Melissa) Shore of Yadkinville, and Amber Shore of Charlotte; and her great-grandchildren, Mason and Lacey Johnson, Peyton, London, and Calvin Fleming, and Casey, Blake, and Kaitlyn Brown-Shore. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend special recognition to her dear friend, Willa-Dean Caudle, and her children for their dedicated friendship, love, and support throughout the years.

 A funeral service will be conducted 5:00PM Tuesday July 28, 2026, at Marler Road Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice for their patience, compassion, and exceptional care. Special thanks are also extended to Jason Johnson, Katie Kent, Lacey Johnson, and Mason Johnson for the loving assistance they provided during Granny-MA's final year. Those wishing to make memorials are asked to consider Mountain Valley Hospice or the Marler Road Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Underwood. Gentry Family Funeral Service will be assisting the family and their needs Also Appreciation to them for assisting with her passing. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Underwood family.
