Jonesville – Jimmy Roger Dobbins, 86, passed from darkness into light Sunday, June 2, 2024.  He was born April 5, 1938 in Yadkin County to the late Nelson Dobbins and Lydia Stokes Dobbins.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Odean Dobbins and Larry Dobbins.  He is survived by a brother, Benny Dobbins; sister, Vicky Dobbins; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Jimmy was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and a retired electrician.  A private service will be held at a later date.  A special thank you to cousin Kathaleen Oakley for all the love and care she gave to Jimmy for the past two years.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Dobbins family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
