Jimmy Lee Brown

Mr. Jimmy Lee Brown, 72, passed away on December 21, 2023. He was born on September 16, 1951 in Surry County to the late Shannon and Dorothy Beamer Brown. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a backyard chicken farmer and an avid NASCAR fan. Jimmy retired from the United States Air Force as Technical Sergeant with 20 years of service. 

In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by a brother, David Brown and a sister, Annette Brown Miller. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Shen Regis Brown; sister, Diane (Mike) Phillips; daughters, Michelle (David) Sparks and Melissa (Bobby) Greene; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM. The burial will follow at Charity Baptist Church in Boonville, North Carolina with full military honors by the North Carolina Air Force Honor Guard and the VFW Post 10346. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Mountain Valley Hospice for all their love and care over Jimmy.
