EAST BEND - Mr. John T. “Johnny” Eddleman, Sr., 81, of Flint Hill Road went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center, with his loving wife by his side. He was born December 21, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late N.A. “Ance” and Beulah Southern Eddleman. Mr. Eddleman was co-owner of Eddleman Construction for 42 years with his brothers. He had a strong Christian Faith and was a faithful member of Gospel Way Baptist Church for 53 years where he served the church as a Deacon, Choir Member, Sunday School Teacher, and was on several different committees. He loved being outside either working in his building, fixing everything he could, hunting, fishing, or just enjoying looking for deer. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, James Neal “Jimmy” Eddleman. Surviving are his beloved wife of 63 years, Peggy Dinkins Eddleman; his children, Tina (John) Thomas, Jr., John Thomas (Christine) Eddleman, Jr.; grandchildren, Abbi (Andrew) Collins, Chris Thomas and Morgan Conklin; great-grandchildren, William Preston Thomas, Penelope Rose Thomas; sister, Ann (Harold) Myers; brother Roy (Zelma) Eddleman; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4 PM Monday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 4 PM Monday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Roger Luiken. Interment will follow in Forbush Baptist Church Cemetery.
