John D. "Pops" Snow

Mr. John D. “Pops” Snow, 77, passed away on April 29, 2023. He was born in Surry County on April 21, 1946 to Elmer and Jenny Snow. John enjoyed gardening, cooking, bowling, and old cars, especially Trans Ams. He had a passion for his Carolina Classic Racing league. He loved taking care of everything with the league, and gaining so many friendships through it. Everyone who had the privilege to know him will miss him very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Snow. He is survived by his wife, Janice Snow; sons, Bryan (Jackie) Snow, Jason Snow, and Nathan (Alyson) Snow; grandchildren, Bryson Snow, Haley Snow, and Noah Snow; special friend, Jimmy Hayes; and his Carolina Classic Racing family.

A memorial service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. Interment will follow at Charity Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 11:45 am prior to the service at the funeral home. The family would like to say a special thank you to all who reached out during this difficult time.
