Johnny Dearl Ward

Johnny Dearl Ward, 84, passed away Friday April 1, 2022. He was born in Wilkes County to the late William Ward and Annie Sue Baldwin Ward. He was a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle where he served as a deacon for several years. Mr. Ward loved welding, machine work, working on his tractor, and most of all spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Wayne Ward; sisters Alma Gilligan, Linda Ward, Ellen Johnson. Surviving are his wife Lillie Stewart Ward; daughter Sandy (David) Trivette; granddaughter Dr. Kayla (Brandon) Lyon; great grandchild Navy Lyon; sisters Edna Call, Jean Ward, Willa Ward, Gay (Ray) Shamel, Carolyn (Jimmy) Harris, Betty (Arvil) Wyatt; sister in law Marie Ward. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday April 3, 2022 at Ronda Baptist Tabernacle Church. His funeral will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the church by Rev. Ricky Cothren and Rev. Josh Blevins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
