Joshua Lee Brookshire

Joshua Lee Brookshire, 35, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022. He was born January 18, 1987 in Surry County to the late Kim Lee Brookshire and Darlene Marie Spencer. Joshua was a beloved musician in the Winston-Salem Community. He was a member of the Speak ‘N’ Eye band. Joshua was a member of Mitchell’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Josh was a valued and loyal employee at Little Richard’s BBQ, of Clemmons considering them his second family.   Surviving are his brother Aaron Brookshire and niece Alistar Brookshire; fiancée Meredith Easterling; aunts Sue (Mickey) Stinson, Janet Spencer; several loving cousins Chrissy, Amanda, Misti, Madison, Jasmine, Dakotah, Amber, Justin, and Miles. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, June 24, 2022 at Mitchell’s Chapel United Methodist Church by Rev. Rebekah Ralph. Mr. Brookshire will lie in state 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Brookshire family.
