Joshua "Josh" Randal Cockerham

Mr. Joshua “Josh” Randal Cockerham, 27, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was born April 8, 1999 in Surry County to Randal Joe Cockerham and Jacqueline Ruth Pardue. Mr. Cockerham was a tower tech with Direct Tower Services. He was an avid chess player and competed in MMA fighting. In his spare time Josh enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all loved playing outside with his children. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his children, Ryker James Wiley, Layla Mae Cockerham; his fiancé Krista Worley; his sister, Michaela Cockerham; aunts and uncles, Violet Cheek, Sylvia Spann, Rudy (Glenda) Pardue, Andy Pardue; future in-laws, Greg and Nancy Worley; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Jess and Helen Pardue, Allen and Irene Cockerham; aunts Mary Jo Absher, Eleanor Gough; uncle, Gary Pardue. The family will receive friends, Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 4:00 PM, in the church with Rev. Joel Riley officiating. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Cockerham family.
