JR Neese

JR Neese, Jr., age 72, of Lewisville, passed away January 20, 2026 at the Mountain Valley Hospice – Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC after a long fight with cancer. He was born in Elkin, NC to the late Helen Neese of Elkin on April 11, 1953.

JR was retired from Southern Fasteners in Winston-Salem.

JR (Pops) is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda Neese; son, Jason (Amanda) Neese; granddaughters, Chloe, Kaitlin and Josie; sisters, Cheryl (Nicky) Nichols and Patti Baugus; brothers, Randy (Karen) Neese and Rick (Barbara) Neese. He also leaves behind his “special fishing buddies”, Brayden and Brenden Love, and Case and Levi Taylor.

A celebration of life service will be held at Enon Baptist Church in East Bend on Saturday, January 31st at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Enon Baptist Church Children’s Department, 6321 Old US 421, East Bend, NC 27018 or Mountain Valley Hospice – Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd, Dobson, NC 27017.
