Judith Hutchens Jester

East Bend – Mrs. Judith Hutchens Jester, 92, of Richmond Hill Church Road, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2024 in the presence of her loving family. She was born July 21, 1931, the daughter of Mrs. Lois H. Parker of Yadkinville, NC. Judy was a faithful member of Richmond Hill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for more than 50 years. Judy also served the church as Recording Secretary, member of the Prayers and Squares Quilt Ministry, WMU and helped write the original Church Constitution. She was the oldest living member at Richmond Hill Baptist Church. Judy retired from Wiseman Oil Company after 25 plus years as Secretary and Office Manager. Judy was a devoted wife; she loved her family dearly and was a friend to so many who knew her. To her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was a special Memaw. Mrs. Jester was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Ray Jester; great-grandsons, Avett Ray Jester and Kipton Ray Jester; brothers, David Parker and Charles Parker; a sister Shirley Dixon. Surviving are her beloved children, Tommy (Dana) Jester, Ron (Billie) Jester; grandchildren, Nathan (Kimberly) Jester, Drew (Mandie) Jester, and Tyler Jester; four great-grandchildren, Gracie Jester, Beau Jester, Ellery Jester, and Macklin Jester; brothers, James Parker, Larry (Ernestine) Parker, and Buddy (Carolyn) Parker; special niece, Lori Absalom; sister-in-law, Carol Parker; along with other numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Judy loved the Lord, she read her Bible daily and will be remembered for the care and concern shown to friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Richmond Hill Baptist Family Life Center. Her service will follow the visitation at 3:00 pm on Thursday in the Family Life Center with Reverend Luke Money officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to either the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin, 243 N. Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055 or Richmond Hill Baptist Church, 2205 Richmond Hill Church Road, Boonville, NC 27011.
