Judy Ann Brown Cook

Mrs. Judy Ann Brown Cook, 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Judy was born April 29, 1950, daughter of the late Burton Brown and Minnie Barker Brown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Dewitt Cook, her sisters, Mattie Cranford and Cora Lee Dodson.

Judy is survived by her children, Shannon (Brian) Hopkins, Michael (Tara) Cook; grandchildren, Brianna Merritt, Tyler Merritt, Kali Cook, Keylan Cook, Kinley Cook, Kyra Cook, and her sisters, Olene Beach, Hazel Groce and Opal Jones.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00-4:00 pm, Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Welcome Valley Baptist Church, 115 Dodson Rd, Elkin, NC 28621. Burial will follow the visitation in the church cemetery.
