Hamptonville

Ms. Julie Annette Lambert, 49, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, October 30, 2025. She was born in Iredell County on February 17, 1976 to Pamela Kay Barnard and Don Lambert. Julie worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement for 25 years, where she most recently was a work force management specialist. She enjoyed going on vacations, especially to Pigeon Forge and going on cruises. Julie was an active pool player, an excellent Rummy player, and she enjoyed many other card games with her family. She loved taking rides on her Polaris down Barnard Farm Road. Julie really loved country music and she enjoyed going to concerts. Her most recent favorite musician was Jamey Johnson. More than anything, Julie truly loved her mama. They enjoyed spending time together, with their favorite part of each day ending with watching their favorite show together. Julie will be deeply missed by all those who had the special privilege to know her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Benny Barnard and Rachel Cook Barnard, and Ed Lambert and Merica Hamm Lambert; an aunt, Ann Joyce and her husband, Lawrence; and a special K9 companion, Belle. She is survived by her loving mother, Pamela; uncle, William (Brenda) Barnard; cousins, Crystal Drake and her children, Amber and Christina (Cory) Lafond and their children, Owen and Spencer; cousins, John (DeAnna) Barnard and their children, Lillian and Abigail; cousins, Jenny Barnard (Marc) Webb and their children, Trinity and Ella; a special cat, Pumpkin; and many other members of the Barnard and Cook families.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, November 3, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church in Hamptonville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AARF in Winston-Salem. This was very near and dear to Julie’s heart, as this was where she rescued her cat, Pumpkin. The family would like to say a special thank you to the ICU staff at Iredell Health Systems and Atrium Main in Charlotte’s Medical ICU for the loving care and compassion given to Julie and her family during this difficult time. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Lambert and Barnard family.
