Kenneth "Ken Ken" Martin

Mr. Kenneth “Ken Ken” Earl Martin, 78, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024. He was born May 17, 1945 in Forsyth County to the late Ed and Grace Seivers Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church where he served as an usher as long as his health permitted. Kenneth was retired from RJR with 35 years of service. He enjoyed working in his yard, mowing, and he loved weed eating. Kenneth loved model trains and was an avid collector. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Barbara Hutchens Martin; son Jamie Martin; brothers, Keith (Donna) Martin, Kelvin (Tammy) Martin; nieces Allison (Ben) Calhoun, Amanda Montgomery, Elizabeth (Joe) Wang; nephews, Zachary (Kayla) Hutchens, Andrew (Hannah) Martin; great-nieces and great-nephews, Harry Calhoun, Willow Hutchens, Jack Calhoun, Iliza Hutchens, Jerry Montgomery, Jordan Montgomery, Jaisen Montgomery, Sailor Moses, Bryson Martin, Grayson Martin, Samson Martin; brother-in-law, Rick (Sherri) Hutchens. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. A funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bobby Watts and Rev. Ottis Hurst. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Jacks with Forsyth Hospital Oncology for the loving care given to Kenneth and his family, and a special thank you to our Mt. Bethel Baptist Church family.
