Kenneth Lee Thompson

Hamptonville – Kenneth Lee Thompson, 77, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023.  He was born August 30, 1945 in Surry County to the late Wilmer Woodrow Thompson and Loretha “Jack” Sparks Thompson.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Thompson; and brother, Jim Thompson.  Surviving is his wife, Anna Swisher Thompson; children, Darrell (Shannon) Thompson, Regina (Wayne) Dewitt, Doyle (Paula) Thompson; step-son, Harold (Deanna) Swisher; grandchildren, Chaise (Kimberly) Swisher, T.R. (Sophia) Thompson, Jeremy Thompson, Kaitlyn (Zack Wood) Thompson, Johnathan (Misti) Dewitt, Amber Dewitt, Danyelle Thompson; nine great grandchildren; sister, Jennifer (Bob) Trivette; brother, John (Louise) Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.  His funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Northwood Baptist by the Rev. Tim Webb and the Rev. John Pittman.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday at Northwood Baptist.  Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 N.
