Larry Wayne Comer

Boonville Mr. Larry Wayne Comer, 78, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Comer was born October 12, 1943 to Hubert and Pearl Davis Comer. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. Mr. Comer enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and softball. He performed as an Elvis impersonator for many years. Anyone who knew him, knew how he loved to joke and make people laugh. In addition to his parents, Mr. Comer was preceded in death by a sister, Fran Ray; brothers-in-law, Tony Jester, Terry Jester, and Jerry Jester; a sister-in-law, Linda Williams; and a special nephew, Kevin Brown. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy Jester Comer; two sisters, Betty Jo Wilkins and Charlotte (Carl) Shew; a sister-in-law, Peggy (Ricky) Moxley; a brother-in-law, Jackie (Barbara) Jester; a special nephew, James Lee Williams; and many numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Benfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church Renovations Designated Fund 3808 Center Road Boonville, NC 27011 or to Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
