Larry Gray Long

Minister Larry Gray Long, 71, departed this life on August 26, 2023 at Forsyth Hospital. He was born on November 20, 1951 in Yadkin County to the late John Thomas Long and Rosa Lee Young Long. He served in the US Army during Vietnam and also served in the Ministry. He attended Yadkin High School. He was a carpenter L&V Carpet Service. He was a self-own Business man until his health declined. He is survived by his wife Vanesa Redmon Long; two sons Boresa (Sabrina) Long, Larry Gray, Jr.; three stepchildren Michael (Stephanie) Redmon, Latisha (Theodore) Fisher, Clifton (Patty) Redmon; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; two sisters Cynthia Cowan, Tina Long; two brothers Dennis (Vera) Long, Danny (Shelia) Long; many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. A funeral Service will be conducted 3:00 PM Sunday September 3, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Pastor Marvin D. Harper. Burial will follow at Tabernacle United Church of Christ with Full Military Honors by the NC National Guard Honors and the VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
