Laura Carolyn Crabb

Laura Carolyn Buelin Crabb, 74, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Carolyn was born on May 7, 1951, in Wilkes County to the late, William Roscoe Buelin and Julie Florence Macy Buelin.

Carolyn was a founding member of United Fellowship Church where she remained as a devoted member. She was known as everyone’s “Meemaw” and a caring heart for everyone she met. Carolyn was an excellent cook. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, David Leon Crabb, brothers, Jackie Buelin, James Buelin, Bobby Buelin, Billy Buelin, Rex Buelin, Jerry Buelin, sisters, Vertie Mae Norman, Gabriel Durham, Susan Hutchens.

Those left to cherish Carolyn’s memory include her children, Davy (Elizabeth) Crabb, Tonya (Jeff) Washam, grandchildren, Samantha Allen, Shane Nance, Hannah Crabb, Noah Cornett, Raegan Bennett, Makaela Bennett, great grandchildren, Braeley Allen and Lorelai Allen. Also surviving are her brothers, Terry Buelin, Harold Buelin, Aaron Buelin, Robert Buelin, sister, Peggy Buelin, niece, Ann Brown, nephew, Ronnie Hutchens and numerous other nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with friends on Saturday, November 22, at Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday November 23, at United Fellowship Church at 3:00 pm with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Wayne Jones, Marty Wood and Aubrey Casstevens will be officiating the service.
