Laura Parrott Sisk

Mrs. Laura Parrott Sisk, 79, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 7, 2025. She was born August 25, 1946 in Mecklenburg County to the late Arthur and Lela Smith Parrott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Mrs. Sisk was a charter member of Peace Haven Baptist Church. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Laura was affectionately known as “Nana” to her family whom she dearly loved beyond measure; and she was known to her neighbors as “Neighborhood Nana”. She is survived her husband of 63 years Jerry Wayne Sisk; her sons, Gregory (Sandra) Sisk, Jeff (Debbie) Sisk; grandchildren, Noah (Harley) Sisk, Joshua Sisk, Tara (Dillion) Norman, Ben (Courtney) Baity, Avery Adams, Hayden Adams; great-granddaughter, Lorelai Sisk; brother, Charles (Faith) Parrott; nieces, Tammy Cruse, Cynthia Ferrell; special neighbors, Mike and Jackie Baity; brothers-in-law, Larry (Edith) Sisk, Oscar Sisk; and her beloved K9 companion, “Skipper”. The family will receive friends, Friday, December 12, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Peace Haven Baptist Church. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 3:00 PM at the church with Dr. Jon Bowman and Rev. Kenny Gooden officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peace Haven Baptist Church Children’s Ministry. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Sisk family.
