Lisa Barber McCormick

Jonesville – Lisa Dawn Barber McCormick, 58, passed away Saturday, August 30, 2025. She was born October 14, 1966 to the late Richard Barber and Thelma Cheek Barber. Lisa was a sweet and loving person and enjoyed helping others. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death her brother, Dickie Barber; nephew, Bradley Burckhalter; and her K-9 companion, Cody. She is survived by her husband, James “Greg” McCormick; son, Jordan McCormick; sisters, Patty (Clay) Nicholson; Shirley (Calvin Tharpe) Armstrong, Teresa (Robby) Lyons; brothers, David (Peggy) Barber, Scotty Barber; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Brother Anthony Davis and Brother Randy Warden. Burial will follow at Shacktown Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
