Lois Nell Hobson Brendle

Yadkinville-  Our precious Aunt Mutt entered the immediate presence of the Lord in the early afternoon of Tuesday, August 23, 2022, with Terry and Sherry by her side.  She was born May 30, 1933, in Yadkin County to the late Thad William and Lucy Sizemore Hobson.  Mrs. Brendle retired from Sara Lee Corporation and was a faithful member of Deep Creek Friends Meeting where she served the church as a Sunday School Teacher and on the Ministry Council.  She especially enjoyed the time she spent in fellowship with her friends from High School and her work at Hanes/Sara Lee.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Herbert Jay Brendle, her sisters and their husbands, Grace (Garl) Jester, Ethel (Clay) Hobson, Sherlie Ann (David) Reece; sisters-in-law, Shirley Hobson, Alice Brendle Wishon; and brother-in-law, Ben Brendle.  Surviving are her brothers, whom she always called “The Boys”, Sonnie Hobson, Ralph (Jackie) Hobson; her nieces Terry (Richard) Boyd and Sherry (Tilton) Muncus who could not have loved her more if they had been her daughters; and numerous nieces and nephews that she referred to as her children.  Her funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday August 27, 2022, at Deep Creek Friends Meeting by Rev. Randy Quate.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to the Deep Creek Friends Building Fund.  The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to New Horizons Home Care, Mountain Valley Hospice, her caregivers Belinda, Earline, Jaelin, Sharon, Lynn, Tiffany, Addy, Brenda, Gerrye, Laura, Kathy, Cathy, a very special thank you to Bridget and Tori for always being there for everything, to Mike and Vickie Shore for heir unwavering faithfulness, and to Dr. James McGrath for his compassionate care.  Mrs. Brendle was blessed to have a supportive church family and community, of which the family is grateful to the Quaker Women of Deep Creek Friends for their food, visits, calls, and especially Pastor Randy Quate for his faithful visits to her.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Brendle Family.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com
