Lottie Roberts Sutphin

Jonesville – Lottie Evelyn Roberts Sutphin, 97, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 12, 2023.  She was born September 2, 1926 in Stokes County to the late Austin and Maggie Bell Moore Roberts.  Lottie was a member of Central Tabernacle Church for over 50 years.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rayburn Carl Sutphin; son, Larry Sutphin; sisters, Gladys Wilkes, Alice M. Roberts, Lillie Mae Stoltz, Peggy Newsome, Donna Gibson; brothers, Arvil Roberts, Marshall Roberts.  Surviving is her daughter, Brenda Cook; grandchildren, Marvin “D.J.” (Tonya) Cook, Joseph (Wendy) Cook, Jessica (Denton Payne) Cook; great grandchildren, Wesley (Lynae) Cook, Denver (Christy) Cook, Marvin Cook, Taylor Williams, Paisley Adkins, Trent Cook, Travis Cook, Elizabeth Cook; great great grandchildren, Raelyn Cook, Parker Cook, Caroline Cook; much loved nieces and nephews; and several special friends.  Her graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, October, 17, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Cemetery in King by the Rev. Kenny Pardue.  Memorials can be made to Central Tabernacle Church, 715 Waughtown Street, Winston-Salem, NC  27107.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Sutphin family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
