Lynn Bryant Morris

BOONVILLE - Lynn Marie Bryant Morris, 48, of Boonville, North Carolina, peacefully departed this life on June 18, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center. Born on July 9, 1976, in Surry County, Lynn was the cherished daughter of Jerry Bryant and Pamela Youngblood Bryant. A graduate of Starmount High School, she dedicated many years of her life to her role as a sales representative at Bryant Home Sales, where her warmth and dedication shone brightly. Lynn was a beloved member of her community and a devoted attendee of Welcome Valley Baptist Church, where she found both solace and family among the congregation. She had a passion for cooking, baking, and gardening, and she took great pride in nurturing her beautiful flowers. However, her greatest joy was being the loving grandmother and “Mimi” to her precious granddaughter, Remi Lou, who brought immeasurable happiness to her life. Lynn was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Herbert and Ann Bryant, James Finney, her cherished son, Caleb Benton; and her stepmother, Scarlett Finney Bryant. She is survived by her father, Jerry Bryant; her son, Blake Benton; her daughter, Brie Benton; her granddaughter, Remi Lou Benton; her sister, Laura (Matthew) Travis; her brother, Jerad Bryant; her niece, Kaitlyn Travis; her nephew, Carson Travis; her grandmother, Mae Finney; and a host of dear friends from Welcome Valley Baptist Church. Family and friends will gather to honor Lynn’s life during a visitation, which will be held from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Welcome Valley Baptist Church. Following the visitation, a funeral service will commence at 3:00 PM, led by Rev. Bill Jenkins and Rev. Terry Coe, bringing together those who loved her in a celebration of her life. Lynn will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Dobson. Flowers will be accepted or the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to either MT. Pleasant Baptist Church, 431 Jenkinstown Road, Dobson, NC, or to Welcome Valley Baptist Church, 115 Dodson Rd, Elkin, NC 28621, an organization that was dear to Lynn’s heart.
