Mable Irene Steele Casstevens

Mable Irene Steele Casstevens, 81, passed away Thursday September 28, 2023. She was born July 2, 1942 in Iredell County to the late Charlie Lee Steele and Nina Lucy Mounce Steele Sloop. Mrs. Casstevens was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Lee Casstevens; grandparents Elmer and Iva Mounce; daughter Christine Casstevens; grandson Cody Davis. Surviving are her children Virginia (James) Davis, Beverly Casstevens (Teresa Brown); grandson Dakota Davis; step grandson Ethan Sizemore; sister in law Dianne Casstevens; special extended family Kimi McDaniel, Ann Clay, Courtney Sloan (Noah), Tamara Chamberlain (Jacob, Jadyn). The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Sunday October 1, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday October 2, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Rev. Benny Adams and Rev. Roger Elmore. Burial will follow in the Maranatha Baptist Church cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you to her caregiver Deborah Harris for the kind and loving care shown to our Mama.
