Margaret Ann Ashley Draughn

Margaret Ann Ashley Draughn, 83, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025. She was born November 8, 1941 in Wilkes County to the late Gurney Miller Ashley and Faye Harris Ashley. Mrs. Draughn was a long-time member of Branon Friends Meeting and attended New Hope Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Dorothy Edwards, Phyllis Williams; brothers: Bud Ashley, Ralph Ashley. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Grady Lee Draughn; sons: Danny (Regina) Draughn, Gary Draughn; grandson: Dillon Draughn; brother: Johnny (Mary) Ashley; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at New Hope Baptist Church by Pastor Brian Poindexter. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff of SECU Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mrs. Draughn. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Home at 243 N. Lee Avenue Yadkinville, NC 27055. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Draughn family.
