Margaret Elizabeth Brown Driver

Mrs. Margaret Elizabeth Brown Driver, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 23, 2023. Margaret was born June 17, 1941, in Yadkin County to Cressie and Vena Matthews Brown. She was a member of Boonville Baptist Church and retired from Hanes Hosiery. Margaret was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend who displayed love and grace to everyone.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William “Henry” Driver; a daughter, Montine Driver; and her sister, Mary Jane Shore. She is survived by a son, Tim (Cyndi) Driver; grandchildren, Kara (Matt) Renegar and Kinsey (Ryan) Stanley; great-grandchildren, Hudson & Tatum Renegar and Stetson Stanley; sister-in-law, Inez (Ted) Tilley; two brothers-in-law, CW (Gloria) Driver and Donald Shore; her niece, Pam Crouse; her nephew, Greg Shore; and Magan, Kyler, Kayden, and Kolby.

A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. John Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Boonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:30 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
