Marjorie Norman Welch

Mrs. Marjorie Norman Welch left for her home in Glory on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Born in Yadkin County on May 14, 1930, Margie was 92 years old. She was the wife of Ralph Alvis Welch Sr for 56 years upon his death in 2003. She was also preceded in death by her Mother, Estelle Norman Mundy and grandparents who raised her, Mary and James Norman, son James William Welch Sr, grandson Brian Moser and sister, Ann Wooten. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Phyllis Pardue Welborn (David), Elaine Moser Smith (Tom), Ralph Welch JR. (Lucy), Marie Foster and Patricia Todd (Bobby), all of Yadkinville. Margie’s grandchildren, to which she was known as Nanny, will greatly miss her company while sitting on the front porch but take comfort in knowing she is perfect in mind and body with Her lord. Loving grandchildren are Terry Coffman (Dwight), Sherry Miller, Brent Pardue, Kym Blalock (Rev. Gary), Suzanne Stanley (Matt), Jamie Welch (Paige), Jon Welch (Amanda), Bradley Foster (Kristie), Patrick Todd, step grandchildren Jenny Wooten (Kenny), Derrick Frye (Lynette), Bart Frye. She is also survived by sister in law, Jean White and brothers Bill Mundy (Jane) and Bob Mundy. Margie was the grandmother to ten, great grandmother to fifteen along with three step grandchildren five step great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild. She loved her family and enjoyed being with them. She was proud of her large family and always made time for and loved them unconditionally.  The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Gary Blalock. Burial will follow at Yadkin memorial Gardens. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Welch family.
