Martha Ellen Collins

Martha Ellen Pinnix Collins, 79, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born on December 26, 1946, in Surry County to the late Harley Richard and Margaret Ellen Pinnix.

Martha was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching birds.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Wayne Collins, Sr, a grandson, Jeffrey Wayne Collins and a great grandson, Taylor Damon Collins.

Those left to cherish Martha’s memory include her children, Mark (Angie) Williams, Junior (Vickie) Collins, Debbie (Dale) Brock, and Renual (Bobbie) Collins; grandchildren, Marissa (Brad) Dzeskewicz, Brandy Collins, Justice Collins, and Devin (Abby) Collins, Alexis (Sam) Taylor, Kimberly Flynt, Justin (Georgia) Flynt, Drew (Mandy) Joyce, Nicki Denton; great grandchildren, Hailey Collins, Clint Collins, Breonna Collins, Christina James, Damion Carlucci, Aurora Margeson, Harmonie Miller, Tessa Dzeskewicz, Colton Flynt, Landon Flynt, Carliegh Denton, Joshua Joyce, Bella Joyce, Blake Holston, Bentley Holston; sisters, Jerry Trivitte, Evelyn Royall, Judy Whitaker and brother, Barry Lackey.

The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, April 29, at Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, at Gentry Family Chapel at 12:00 PM with burial to follow at Maranatha Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Josh Williams officiating.
