Martha Rupard Tise

Mrs. Martha Luna Rupard Tise, 92, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024. She was born October 25, 1931 to the late Sherill and Hattie Rupard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Ray Tise, and a beloved grandson LCPL Daniel Freeman Swaim of the USMC, killed in action in the Iraqi war. She was a member of Mt. Olive Global Methodist Church. Martha loved music and was a wonderful pianist. She enjoyed nature and loved wildflowers. Surviving are her children Rebecca Tise (Michael F.) Swaim, Stephen Mark (Marcia P.) Tise; sisters, Nancy Geraldine Phelps. Jeweline Pearl Norman; brother, Donald Rupard; several nieces and nephews. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Tise family.
