In loving memory of a true cowboy, Marvin Jacob Walker Cook, 25, tragically passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026. Marvin was born in Surry County on December 1, 2000, to his mother, Jessica Mae Cook.
Marvin Embodied the cowboy way of life, with strength, grit, kindness and the love of the Western lifestyle. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. He touched so many lives and will never be forgotten. Ride high cowboy. Lets hope there are no timers in heaven. Ride ‘em cowboy.
Marvin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marvin Donald Cook, Sr. Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Jessica Cook, sisters, Taylor Williams and Paisley Adkins, uncles, Joseph (Wendy) Cook, DJ (Tonya) Cook, grandmother, Brenda Cook, his shotgun rider Reign, horses, Django and Cinch. Also surviving are numerous cousins, extended family and friends.
The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, , from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at Union Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm following the visitation with Rev. Kenny Pardue and Rev. Neil Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
