Mary Catherine Baker Porchey

Yadkinville – Mary Catherine Baker Porchey, 85, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026. She was born April 10, 1940 in Lenior County to the late Roscoe Silas Baker and Elizabeth Chestnutt Baker. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Cohen. She is survived by her husband, Carl Joseph Porchey, Jr.; brother, James (Beth) Baker; several nieces, nephews, and their families. Her memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Mary requested that everyone please dress casual for the memorial service. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Porchey family.
