Mary M. Wall Harris, 96, passed away July 17, 2025. She was born April 12, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Grover C. and Minnie Wilkins Myers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Leonard Wall and Jack Harris, a son Larry (Martha) Wall, a son-in-law Gary White, one brother, Leon and by four sisters, Mattie, Betty, Margie, and Cora. Mary enjoyed working in her flower garden, putting together puzzles, crocheting, and reading. She was a member of Courtney Baptist Church and loved her visits from Pastor James. She retired from Hanes Hosiery after over 30 years of service. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Wall White, a step daughter, Vickie (David) Hoppkins, two step sons, Darrell (Laura) Harris and Dale (Faye) Harris. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Matt (Sarah) White, Brian (Kimberly) Wall, Mark (Jessica) Wall, and Carolyn (Matthew) Douglas; great-grandchildren Lynnley, Owen, Allison, Jacob, Kaitlyn, and Emma and by three step grandchildren, Jessica, Wendy, and Shannon.

A special thank you goes to a dear niece, Carol Wall, who came to visit Mary every day and took care of watering her plants, filling her bird feeder, and any other needs she had while she visited. We would also like to thank Yadkin Nursing Center and the Hospice team for the care given to Mary over the last several years.

Mary’s private family funeral service will be held Sunday, July 20th by Pastor James Williams at Gentry Family Funeral Home in Yadkinville. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Courtney Baptist Church.
